Sprint Releases iPhone Killer?

Finally, a phone to take on the iPhone! (although I am still in love with mine).

Its called the Samsung Instinct, and from the video below it sure does look fairly interesting.

Its from Sprint, and they are promoting this phone on NowIsGood.com (hat tip: CrunchGear).

They are releasing it this June, which should help them compete against AT&T. It only holds 2GB of memory, although hopefully they will be offering more (as I am approaching 2GB on my iPhone).

My only advice to Sprint is to make sure there are a lot of "third party apps" to go along with this phone, otherwise they will only be able to retain people on their own network at best (as the iPhone is already gone over 1,300 apps).

E-business Anyone?

So, after much thought, I've decided to jump in the eCommerce arena (mainly to help out a friend, and make some cash on the side). I've called GoDaddy, and I have to contact Google (for Google Apps and Google Checkout), although I'm currently debating about where to setup a business accnunt at. I wonder if Paypal can hook me up?

My Gmail Is Down!

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!

(gasp for air)

Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!

Perhaps this is a sign that I should get a secondary account. But that would mean using Yahoo!, Hotmail or some unknown email service that makes you pay for 10 mb of space (the horror!).

It's not the end of the world, although I REALLY DO need my email for work, friends, etc.

Well, at least Google provided me with a fun video to watch.

Although, in retrospect, its not the same as actually using my account. :-(

Update: It's working again! Thanks Google! :-)

Pulling Out Of BlogBurst

I've decided to pull one of my blogs out of the BlogBurst Network, due to the fact that content theft on several of my blogs is getting out of hand. Although this is a "sign of popularity," I have decided to remove my space blog from its ranks before it became to popular.

Although this may hurt my blog in the short term, I feel like this will benefit me in the long run.

I may also decide to launch a mini-blog network to serve as a "home" for all of these blogs, as Google seems to be compensating me nicely for maintaining eloquent posts.

Keeping The Faith

So after several other editors decided to leave the Blog Herald (with two of them blogging over at 901 am) I've decided to stay and blog on.

Besides, it's teaching me a lot about how to write and interact with people (especially of different minds, cultures, etc.). How could I leave something like that?

Did I mention I'm excited to be working with Abe?

Grant Writing, Is It In You?

I have been looking for a way recently to combine two passions of mine--money and writing.

Although writing a book would easily solve this problem (that is, if it became a New York best seller) I think becoming a grant writer would be something I would seriously enjoy.

I have already googled for some classes, and being the frugal person that I am I found some classes for under $500. Sweet!

I will still see if I can locate other places that are less expensive (and closer to home), although if I can find an online course somewhere, I'll probably be sold to that.
