Pulling Out Of BlogBurst

I've decided to pull one of my blogs out of the BlogBurst Network, due to the fact that content theft on several of my blogs is getting out of hand. Although this is a "sign of popularity," I have decided to remove my space blog from its ranks before it became to popular.

Although this may hurt my blog in the short term, I feel like this will benefit me in the long run.

I may also decide to launch a mini-blog network to serve as a "home" for all of these blogs, as Google seems to be compensating me nicely for maintaining eloquent posts.

I'm curious as to how and why you feel pulling out of BlogBurst will help reduce content theft. Have BB members been stealing your work? Are full feeds an issue?

Though there are risks of using BB, content theft isn't one of them that I've seen.

I'm just curious as to why you think this is will help.

Hey Jonathan,

Although BlogBurst is a great place to post (and get noticed), it can also serve as an extra spring board for site harvesters via full posts.

I noticed this when I submitted work to a similar site (for free) and found my work being copied throughout the blogosphere.

Since the other site had a higher page rank (that I was submitting to) Google was looking at my site as one of the spammers (which was bad for page ranking long term).

I pulled it off the shelf, and have not looked back since.

I may submit work in the future, but I would like to at least alter the words so I will not have to deal with content theft, as it is a bit annoying (stealing is a pet peeve of mine).

Do you have a question, opinion or just stopping by to say hi?

In either case, feel free to comment below.

You do not need to have a blogger account to post below, although you do have to solve the "I am human" puzzle.
